Our client has an immediate need for an entry level Product Engineer for their office in southeast metro Atlanta. This is a direct hire role. You will be responsible for researching, engineering and technical development to bring new products to market while maintaining existing products. As the Product Engineer, you will ensure that the necessary internal resources, tools and processes exist to support and grow the product and/or services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in the realm of electric utility structural engineering and maintenance, for wood, steel, concrete, and fiberglass structures
  • Develop products, services and solutions (both enhancements to existing products as well as development of new products and services) for inspection, mitigation and restoration of deleterious environmental effects on transmission assets
  • Support R&D projects by working with Operations, Engineering and other initiative stakeholders during testing, mock-up, data collection, field trial and implementation of the R&D process
  • Document research findings, results and opportunities for improvement in reports, slideshows and briefings
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer problems, and develops solution encompassing client's products and services
  • Participate in and contribute to Company sales and product training initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCad software, 2D and 3D
  • Experience with product development
  • Experience performing or knowledge of Non Destructible Testing (NDT) of materials (wood and/or metal)
  • Knowledge with product development in black box technologies
