**General Summary:** The clinical social worker is a psychotherapist responsible for the treatment of individuals, families, and groups. Additionally, they provide social work services to enact community resources for the child and family. The primary focus of this role is to ensure excellent clinical care and manage a caseload that includes interfacing with community agencies where necessary.
**PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES**
+ Functions as an expert clinical practitioner in the provision of therapy to individuals, families, and groups as assigned.
+ Provides therapy utilizing theoretical frameworks and knowledge of normal adult behaviors
+ Serves as a clinical resource and role model for the outpatient department.
+ Monitors the plan, delivery, and outcomes of care for patients in caseload
+ Coordinates complex cases
+ Participates in outcome studies as indicated.
+ Collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, safe, and compassionate care.
+ Actively participates with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
+ Participates in consultation groups with other therapists.
+ Provides clinical supervision as needed.
+ Accesses resources and social services for individuals and families in caseload.
+ Participates in mandatory in-services
+ Seeks professional development, both within and outside of Rush.
+ Participates in own clinical supervision.
+ Continually improves personal skills.
+ Exhibits the spirit of team in working with other Rush staff.
+ Participates in program development.
+ Works with Administrative team to problem solve on individual cases and program development issues.
+ Maintains current knowledge in the field of social work including both treatment modalities and community resources.
