JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

*This role can be remote*

Assists the Director, Compensation & Benefits in the design, development, implementation and administration of Sunbelt’s compensation structure including base salary, annual incentives, sales compensation and other compensation programs to attract and retain a highly talented workforce.  Works with the Director to develop compensation processes, practices and policies that align with Sunbelt’s strategy and culture, maintain external competitiveness and internal equity and ensure the ability to recruit and retain a highly qualified workforce.  Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local laws governing Compensation programs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists the Director, Compensation & Benefits in developing an overall compensation approach/philosophy. Creates and implements a companywide competitive base salary and total cash compensation structure that aligns with organization and HR objectives. Performs job evaluation/leveling, market pricing and incumbent analyses to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity of pay.
• Analyzes current pay against the marketplace to assist in building the recommendation for re-alignment of pay.
• Assists with designing and managing the merit increase and other salary increase processes, incentive plans and other reward and recognition programs. Proactively identifies opportunities to develop new and/or update existing reward and recognition programs to reinforce performance.
• Participates in compensation surveys; Researches and provides relevant information on current and upcoming competitive labor markets to support the growth of the company and to ensure competitiveness of pay at the local level.
• Researches and develops alternative pay strategies for highly skilled/highly demanded and critical positions.
• Consults with management and HR on updating job descriptions and determines job families/levels (where applicable) for all positions.
• Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data. Works with Payroll and HRIS staff to ensure that the HRIS/Payroll system meets compensation needs and is updated to reflect changes as needed to salary structures, bonus programs, etc.
• Partners with the Director to develop the compensation functionality of a new Human Capital Management system.
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local wage & hour laws, as well as OFCCP guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or other relevant area
• CCP preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in Compensation to include analysis, plan design, implementation and administration of Compensation programs.
• Significant experience administering multi-level compensation plans for organizations with multiple states and more than 8,000 employees.
• Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with key stakeholders.
• Experience providing day-to-day direction to lesser experienced team members.
• Highly skilled in using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of HRIS and reporting preferred.
• Highly developed problem solving, mathematical, technical and analytical skills to support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and programs.
• Ability to deal with highly sensitive material and maintain confidentiality.
