A bit about us:

We are a smaller commercial electrical contracting business that has been in operation for over 50 years. We run a crew of between 8 & 10 men. Looking for person to take over the day to day operation of the business and possibly take over the company in a few years. The person must be able to handle dispatch, field surveys and have field experience. Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This is a permanent position with a leading construction firm that prides itself on delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable projects. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of our electrical construction projects, from planning and development to execution and completion. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of electrical construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to determine project specifications.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Resolve any issues or delays that may affect the project timeline or quality.
  • Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on electrical construction.
  • Proven experience in estimating project costs and developing project plans.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction safety regulations and compliance.
