The VP, Portfolio Manager monitors the overall performance of the loan portfolio, identifies deviations and trends, and facilitates the overall management process, with the primary objective of maintaining and protecting the bank’s collateral. The Portfolio Manager is involved with the quality control function for the integrity of our loan data, to include financial reporting, loan input, and the timely application of company established risk rating policies and procedures. This position requires an ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision.



  • Maintain and monitor a portfolio of assets to existing and newly developed clients
  • Facilitate and oversee the timely and accurate input of all data, specifically as it relates to loan terms
  • Spread financials or manage the process to ensure completion for assigned portfolio as well as newly developed prospects and clients
  • Communicate frequently with assigned clients to obtain information needed to evaluate changes In the asset value and operational/ financial performance
  • Identify deviations from agreed upon performance and negotiate remedial action; obtain Internal approval for action and document  accordingly
  • Actively participate in portfolio review sessions with senior management
  • Collaborate with investment team on new transactions to ensure efficient documentation and funding
  • Provide guidance on process improvements, as well as provide oversight to junior members of the portfolio team
  • Travel to client visits and other meetings up to 25% of time



  • Minimum of five to seven years lending/credit experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task
