Compliance Officer A Compliance Officer is needed for a successful company offered through Robert Half Finance! Our client is seeking a Compliance Officer for a rapidly growing company near the border of Michigan and Indiana. This Compliance Officer position will be responsible for handling Federal, State, and Local agency interaction, provide technical oversight to environmental, and health and safety compliance projects. The Compliance Manager will also be responsible for employee safety training and will be required to work and communicate closely with operations, engineering, commercial, and business development departments to ensure compliance and the success of new projects and existing operations. Oversees the implementation of existing environmental compliance programs throughout the company and develops new programs and procedures as necessary to ensure compliance and protect the environment. ? Provides oversight to ensure that projects are executed on schedule. ? Effectively communicates environmental, health, and safety compliance requirements to operations personnel and ensures an effective training program is in place. ? Provides permitting guidance and advice to business development and commercial groups to improve the viability of new projects and lessen associated risks. Develops and submits required air permit applications for new projects. ? Prepares and maintains various response plans (SPCC, Emergency Response, etc.) for facilities in accordance with current regulations. ? Conducts internal audits and assessments of environmental compliance programs and recommends/implements changes to correct deficiencies and improve the programs. ? Develops and maintains an excellent working relationship with Federal and State environmental regulators. ? Regular attendance at the worksite is required.
? Knowledge, Skills and Abiliti ? 3 or more years of experience ? Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products ? Excellent communication skills, written and verbal ? Great at multi-tasking, working well under pressure ? Team Player
