Position Information:
The Revenue Integrity Director defines and carries out the strategy for maximizing gross revenue capture across the WakeMed Health and Hospitals enterprise. The Director serves as the chief liaison between revenue cycle and clinical departments. The Director also ensures the availability and interpretation of reporting and analytics necessary for the clinical and revenue cycle departments to drive financial improvement. Within the Revenue Integrity department, the Director oversees the following functions: charge capture, revenue reconciliation, Charge Description Master (CDM) maintenance, strategic pricing, payment validation, denial management and avoidable write-off prevention, and reporting and analytics. Maintains knowledge of third party regulations for all payors, including governmental and commercial payors. Develops strong working relationship in order to maximize reimbursement potential through effective problem resolution. Prepares revenue analyses for executive staff that identify areas for improved reimbursement opportunities. Supervises and trains staff to improve system reimbursement.
Experience Requirements:
7 Years Accounting/Finance - Financial Management - Healthcare Or Accounting/Finance - Revenue Cycle Or Healthcare Or Healthcare Administration Or Health Information Management Required
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Accounting Or Finance Or Healthcare Management Or Related Field Required - And Master's Degree Business Administration Or Healthcare Management Preferred
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Registered Health Information Administrator Or Registered Nurse Or Registered Health Information Technician Or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional Or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Or Certified Coding Specialist Required
