The Field Services Representative position performs activities related to customer utility meters, including installing and changing out meters, activating water service, responding to customer service requests, and various other clerical and technical assistance.


Job Responsibilities100% - Meter reading activities involve computer technology and hand-held data entry devices, walking five plus miles daily depending on assigned route, and operation of various equipment as needed. This position may require rotating shift work and emergency response, depending on assignment.


Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesQualifications -

Highschool diploma or equivalent required, with the ability to communicate clearlyand concisely, both orally and in writing. Prefer previous experience in watersystems or customer service, with working knowledge of basic office proceduresand computer equipment. Sufficient health and physical stamina to work outsidein all weather conditions, with ability to walk for extended periods andoccasionally lift up to 50 pounds.The successful candidate must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license and pass the City background check, post-offer Cityphysical and drug screen.
