Art/Culinary Arts Teaching position

Diocese of Camden New Jersey, US (Onsite) Full-Time

Art Teacher instructs students in various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and multimedia art with lessons and activities that engage students and promote artistic expression, creativity, and technical skills development.

Culinary Arts classes will guide students in various aspects of cooking and baking while demonstrating cooking techniques by providing classes with a fun, conversational experience.

The teacher assumes responsibility for the leadership and management of the classes assigned; strives to achieve the goals of Catholic education; develops and implements a daily instructional program according to the needs of the students and the established curriculum; maintains accurate records of attendance and scholastic achievement as required by the school, diocese, and state; establishes positive public relations within and outside the school community; and engages in continued professional development. Experience in high school instruction is preferred; commitment to supporting the school’s mission is essential; New Jersey teaching certification is preferred; grades 9-12 experience is preferred; a background check and Virtus training are required prior to or upon hiring.
