Sr. Data Analyst - Direct Hire - Northern Virginia

As a Data Analyst you will work closely with decision makers throughout the organization to use the data we collect to understand trends, solve business problems, and monitor metrics. You will determine the data we need, structure it in an appropriate format, analyze the data using queries, and create easy-to-consume reports and visualizations for our decision-makers.

Expectations
- Identify business challenges and use analysis to recommend solutions
- Support operational improvements by understanding consumer behaviors, creating models and testing hypothesis
- Work closely with IT, Sales, Operations and Finance to define, prioritize, and develop projects
- Accurately document the project's creation, development, and execution as well as document the project's scope, budget, and justification
- Set deadlines, prioritize tasks, and complete deliverables
- Analyze financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation
Candidate Attributes
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- High attention to details and excellent organizational skills
- Technical skills including proficiency in R, Python, Tableau prep, Tableau Server, Tableau desktop, SQL and Excel are a MUST
- Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
- Innovative, energetic, and creative with the ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment and perform multiple roles and functions
- Conceptual thinking, financial acumen, and quantitative orientation
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree; preferred fields include: Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math, Actuary Science or Engineering
- At lease 1 year of analysis experience with the following areas preferred:
- Statistical model building
- Market research
- SQL querying
- Business analysis
- Consulting
