DLA Piper's Latin America practice is seeking a visiting attorney to join the firm's U.S. offices for up to one year. The visiting attorney can sit in any of the firm's US office locations and will work closely with attorneys in various practice areas within the firm's LatAm group. We seek candidates with strong academic backgrounds and transactional experience in their home jurisdictions, preferably in the areas of corporate, M&A, and finance, though candidates with backgrounds in other transactional areas may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Our LatAm group is recognized by Chambers and other industry publications across a diverse range of practice areas. Participants in our foreign visiting attorney program will have opportunities to work on substantive matters with multilingual teams on cross-border transactions in a variety of sectors and will have access to the global DLA platform, including training, mentoring, and pro bono.

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position, if hired to work in New York City, is $190,000 - $215,000. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate's geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience, and overall qualifications. Job requirements:
• Must be admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction in Latin America (Spain and Portugal will be considered on a case-by-case basis).
• Native Spanish fluency required; proficiency in Portuguese is desirable.
• Must have strong academic credentials.
• Eligibility for U.S. bar admission is preferred, but not required.
