CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Electrical Power Engineer IV to join our Power & Manufacturing - Advanced Energy/Manufacturing Team at our office in Fort Washington, PA, Colonie, NY or Parsippany, NJ.

At CHA, our Electrical Power Engineer IV provides advanced judgment and analysis techniques for the design development, implementation and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. This key role is responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. The Engineer IV mentors junior staff members and provides technical review of their work as needed.

The Engineer Power Engineer IV recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures as well as selects proper procedures to self-check his/her own work for completeness and accuracy in technical reports and calculations. The Electrical Power Engineer IV identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments. This individual continuously monitors the progress and performance of the engineering design development against the project work plan.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required PE required Minimum 4 years' related engineering experience required Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Power Systems experience Arc Flash Study and Coordination Study experience Low voltage AC power experience and field experience preferred Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field Familiar with QA/QC procedures Strong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required Understanding of project budgeting processes required Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist mid and senior level engineering and project management staff Strong verbal and written communication skills Participation in a professional engineering society/organization preferred

SALARY RANGE:

$95,000 - $111,000 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
