Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented VPIM Deputy Program Lead to join our team in the Northern Virginia area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The Vehicle Platform Integration Management (VPIM) Deputy Program Lead assists in overseeing the engineering, integration, testing, fielding, sustainment, material management, logistics, and configuration management of supporting ancillary equipment for multiple vehicle platforms within the Diplomatic Security (DS) Armored Vehicle (AV) fleet.

  • This includes AV power upgrades, center consoles and various mounting solutions for PT program equipment.

  • The VPIM Deputy Program Lead interfaces with DS management and the Regional Security Officers (RSO) of posts requesting support to assist with clarifying the requirements and formulating a suitable fielding plan for PT equipment as required.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities : Provide guidance and supervision to VPIM teammates.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years technical experience in technical support for modern ECM and Tactical Communications systems.

  • Must be able to develop Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTP) for deploying vehicles equipped with CREW systems based on the national, local, and emerging Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) threat.

  • Must be able to establish and maintain intra-organizational and external contacts.

  • Must demonstrate expertise in all DS platform configurations and mastery of Protective Technology (PT) life safety equipment and its application in AV platforms.

  • This expertise is paramount to ensure successful deployment of PT equipment in any AV platform, and to provide the necessary life safety protection and Situational Awareness (SA) for DS motorcades.

  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner.

  • Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team.

  • Must be able to multitask efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail.

  • Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) theory, principles, and the effects of CREW systems operating in a high electromagnetic environment is desired.

  • Understanding of insurgent Improvised Explosive (IED) emplacement tactics is desired.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current Top Secret security clearance.

  • Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required security clearance/access approvals.

Travel Requirements:

  • May be required to travel OCONUS to conduct installation, training or maintenance at diplomatic facilities.

  • OCONUS travel may include critical threat locations around the world with austere living conditions.

  • Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mainly works in an indoor office environment- uses a computer and other office equipment and moves about to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
