Sr. CNC Machinist

Xometry is looking for an experienced CNC machinist and manufacturing professional with a strong eye for details, and mechanical aptitude who will operate and program CNC machinery in order to accurately and efficiently manufacture high quality parts.

Duties and responsibilities

As a CNC Prototype Machinist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Reading specifications on blueprints and mechanical drawings and ensuring they are met.
* Setup, program, and operate CNC Mill and Lathe for prototype/production part runs
* Be able to run tests on machines to check machine outputs according to specifications, and adjust as necessary.
* Design fixtures and manufacture them as needed
* Examine and maintain machinery regularly to ensure functionality.
* Supervise machines during execution and make any necessary adjustments to manufacture a better result.
* Inspect completed parts and compare them to the specifications and requirements of the blueprint, to determine if the process was properly completed.
* Performs all work in compliance with Xometry's quality and safety systems, policies and procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

Required Qualifications:

* Demonstrated experience as CNC machinist with at least 10 years of experience.
* Skill in operating and programming CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
* Computer savvy with expert understanding of CNC programming and CAD/CAM.
* Mechanical aptitude and proficient math skills
* Minimum 4 years programming experience
* Knowledge of GD&T
* Haas Mill and Lathe experience is a plus
* Solidworks experience is a plus
* MasterCam or NX experience required
* US citizen or Green Card holder
