Job Description
14,500 is the number of Novartis Associates across the US being supported by our People & Organization (HR) team, playing a central role in "unleashing the power of our people" to achieve one inspired, curious and unbossed culture!
To that end, we are currently looking to hire a Senior People Partner to deliver a consistent end-to-end P&O (HR) experience, focusing on the moments that matter for leaders, managers, and associates within our Finance teams across the US. This individual will help to establish harmonized People Partner processes and ways of working in the US to provide a P&O experience that meets both customer (managers and associates) and stakeholder expectations (Country P&O Board, Business Partners and COEs) now and in the future.
This role will partner with leaders, managers, and associates, offering advice and guidance on the employee lifecycle. This role will help to mentor those leaders and managers in P&O matters, especially in Employee Relations and coaching of managers and associates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with leaders and P&O Business Partner to contribute to the development of the IM US P&O agenda, aligned with the IM US P&O strategy
Consult with key stakeholders and leadership teams, focused on leadership interventions, coaching, employee relations, culture change etc.
* Manage the efficient implementation of P&O processes and programs through advising management and associates (i.e. Recruitment/ Selection, Rewards, Learning, Performance Management, Talent Management, Organization Development, transformations, and Engagement)
* Provide leaders with data and recommendations on improving organizational health by assessing trends in performance, span of control, employee engagement, manager feedback, attrition, and turnover
* Provide change management support to transformation and restructuring efforts
* Manage the budget/resource allocation for the area of responsibility
* Manage various P&O Projects

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $124,000 and $186,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors

Minimum Requirements
Education
* Bachelor's degree required, degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences or related area preferred
Work Experience
* At minimum 5+ years of P&O (HR) or related experience required. Experience working within a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment highly preferred
* Experience with HR Information Systems and tools and expertise in employee relations management in the US
* Ability to build effective relationships across P&O function and with line clients to understand a business challenge and translate it into an innovative P&O solution
* Ability to lead through others, including coaching and mentoring. Proven track record of problem-solving, dealing with ambiguity, and effective influencing skills across P&O function, collaborators, and clients
* Innovative, purpose-driven, and displays a strong and consistent sense of urgency. Sensitive to others and the value of the team, takes a non-hierarchical approach to all colleagues and their work
Languages
* Fluency in English required. Effective and persuasive communicator with strong presentation, communication (both written and verbal), influencing and negotiation skills
