This time-honored community hospital is actively interviewing for an Emergency Department (ED) Nursing Manager to join the Leadership Team. Join a busy medical center that’s committed to community value and mission-driven excellence.

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Emergency Department Nursing Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, and to a growing degree, the strategic direction of a fully accredited service line. Supported by two strong CEN Emergency Services Charge Nurses, and a team of experienced and tenured Registered Nurses, the Nursing Manager will discover a unit that feels like family.

The ED Nursing Manager will oversee a clinical and administrative operations for a full range of Emergency Personnel. Administratively, you will control the budget and fiscal performance for the Emergency Department. You’ll take center stage in evaluating staff competencies, addressing skill gaps, and working with the necessary business partners to make sure Emergency Services is running smoothly.

As a clinical leader, you will be the accountable for ensuring that Emergency Department RNs, Triage and Admitting Nurses, CENs, and support staff are all following best practices and clinical protocol. A major element of the Nursing Manger role will entail assisting in the improvement of, and continually supporting, education initiatives for the Emergency Department. This will help keep your staff, and thereby your department, in sound working order.
