Assists with all aspects of patient care as directed by providers. Maintains exam rooms. Calls pharmacies with prescriptions and patients with test results as directed by providers.
Train and mentor new medical assistants as assigned by Practice Coordinator or Practice Manager.
Answers and screens telephone calls. Enters phone encounters and refill requests following office standard work. Calls in prescriptions to pharmacies as directed by provider and standard office work.
Room patients updating medications, surgeries (health history), obtains BP, height and weight per office standard work.
Assist provider with procedures such as joint injections, casting. Cast removal, splint application as per office standard work.

Medical Assistant I
- High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- or at least one year of applicable patient care experience
Medical Assistant II
- High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred and/or at least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant
Medical Assistant III
- High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program and 3 years of experience
- Certification/Registration is required (RMA or CMA)
