We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Accountant located in Dallas, Texas.

Essential Job Duties:  

  • Review, monitor, analyze and organize daily bank activity and reporting from the Bank of America CashPro Website. Prepare manual journal entries in SAP for USD and foreign currencies to match bank activity.
  • Monitor and manage exceptions to the automatic postings in SAP for disbursements and dummy accounts derived from bank files received daily. Determines proper account coding for infrequent transactions.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items as necessary.
  • Prepare Working Capital model supporting schedules for actual and outlook including investigation of new items for accounting treatment, and analysis of outlooks for accuracy. 
  • Research, analyze and problem solve transactions for certain balance sheet accounts (trade, plant and miscellaneous). 
  • Prepare various journal entries and analyses for miscellaneous requested items, including tax requests.                        
  • Support outside accountants/auditors for annual audits, financial statements, and reporting.              
  • Serve as FileNet/OxyDocs administrator for general accounting and journal entry documentation.            

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (with a minimum of 18 hours of Accounting)
  • 2+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Experience with integrated ERP accounting systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must demonstrate initiative and interact effectively with others in a team environment
  • Excel spreadsheet proficiency

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or CPA
  • Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO, MM, PA modules)
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
