The Admin Assistant provides secretarial and administrative support for the Geller House, including general secretarial and office work, statistical records keeping, correspondence, records maintenance, typing, billing, filing and reception.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing general secretarial support and specific administrative tasks for one or more individuals; Providing basic clerical coverage including Xeroxing, faxing, etc.
  • Assisting with the organization and filing of Petty Cash Funds, Metro Cards, P-Card Receipts and Vendor Invoices
  • Responsible for the billing
  • Ordering and distribution of supplies
  • Opening, sorting, and distributing mail; Handling routine correspondence; Providing telephone coverage, and reception of the office
  • Maintaining and monitoring files and records; Performing Data Entry
  • Event Planning , including planning for and participating in events (meetings, trainings, holiday parties, Days of Hope) for both residents and staff
  • Running various errands in the community for program related needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A High School diploma is required
  • Prior experience in a similar role with typing/filing duties
  • Valid Driver’s License required for travel between sites
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of PC software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database desktop publishing capabilities
