JOB SUMMARY


- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Under general supervision, serves as a primary contact for HR related matters within a remote facility or as a member of the Corporate staff. Uses established policies and procedures and subject matter knowledge to support, or individually perform, a variety of specialized administrative services, that may include:
  • 1. Prepares Employee Requisitions (ER) for approval by supervision, screens applicants, requests applicant reference checks, coordinates interviews, updates an Applicant Tracking system, coordinates employee drug testing and conducts new employee orientations.
  • 2. Assists unit personnel with travel arrangements and Expense Report preparation and processing.
  • Communicates and distributes HR-related information and documentation such as employee benefits, HR and Company policies and procedures.
  • Documents, processes, and maintains records in support of HR-related issues.
  • Schedules and coordinates local training sessions and facility employee meetings.
  • If assigned to a remote business unit or segment, serves as the HR liaison between the facility and the HR Corporate Office.
  • Acts as the site EEO representative.
  • Enters approved personnel actions into the HRIS system.
  • Provides support to special HR projects.
  • Prepares standard or routine reports to respond to customer queries.
  • Reviews documentation for completeness and required approvals. Coordinates resolution of incomplete information.
  • Performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their job.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    This position involves work typical of office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting to 30 pounds, constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. The incumbent must occasionally work duty days in excess of eight hours and perform shift and weekend work to meet required schedule demands. This position may require travel. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE Associates degree in business administration or human resources and at least 1 year of job-related experience or equivalent combination of formal training and related work experience. Possess good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications and ability to perform detail-oriented work. The incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills, be able to work under deadlines, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and possess a valid state issued driver's license.
