Position Overview

Individual performs a wide variety of clerical responsibilities within the Equipment function including but not limited to answering telephones, displaying a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, vendor sales personnel and the general public at all times; responsible for out going/incoming mail and ordering supplies.  The position is also essential in supporting the Equipment VP, Equipmemt Managers and Shop Foreperson as needed; CMS/Infield, Registration and Permits, Equipment Rentals/Disposals, WEX, Fuel Master and ordering, maintaining and handling violations for EZ pass and all key responsibilities noted below.



 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual.
  • Assist other Tilcon Connecticut, Inc. shop employees as needed with Excel, Microsoft and Outlook.
  • Manage and set up all new, rented, leased and VRP equipment in Viewpoint.
  • Run EM OMG and Vendor Reports as needed for equipment division.
  • Manage and create changes for Category, Dept., Shop, Activation, etc.
  • Attend conference calls as requested with the CMMS team.
  • Train new employees to be self-sufficient with all software and must be willing to travel to all Tilcon Connecticut, Inc as needed to keep current employees updated and trained when new phases are released.
  • Set up and manage equipment proviles and provide direct contact and manage all problems / issues over the phone with CMMS and Infield.
  • Manage meter changes in Preventative Maintenance
  • Manage  registrations for new, annual renewals for mobile fleet across CT, titles for Tilcon CT, replacement stickers/plates and CT overweight permit applications
  • Assist in managing $ 2 million in annual equipment rentals .
    • Create PO’s, manage all receiving and wrk directly with Vendors to fix discrepancies and keep things organized
    • Keep an accurate excel file t manage receiving, returning, price and location.
    • Wrk with vendors to make sure we receive all credits when equipment is returned early.
  • Back up Accounting Department to Order / Delete new Driver cards and Driver id’s for Tilcon Connecticut, Inc.
  • Redimix - Order / Delete new Driver cards and Driver ID’s

FUEL MASTER

  • Create Site profile during installation of new systems.
  • Diagnose/Reset system outage and contact vendor as needed to schedule repairs.
  • Program Prokees for all active equipment.
  • Assign new users pin numbers

Auctions and Equipment disposals

  • Manage auction process after the Tilcon Connecticut, Inc. management team identifies the disposal list.
  • Confirm and Deliver Titles, Registrations, Bill of Sales, etc. to auction site.
  • Communicate updates and deadlines to Equipment Managers.
  • Confirm final sale,.
  • Complete Equipment Disposal forms for all assets sold.

Manage and or help with the following list, reports and applications such as but not limited to:

  • Pickup truck assignment
  • Rental assignment
  • EM Meter updates/changes
  • Help manage equipment utilization and Last Meter Updates.
  • Vehicle OEM Recalls
  • Inspection station applications
  • Unified Carrier application
  • IFTA application
  • Annual Inventory
  • New Vendor request
  • Renew State Inspection licenses for all Tilcon Connecticut, Inc.
  • Work closely with equipment team on various projects or requests as they arise.
  • Adhere to any and all state and federal regulations, if applicable, as set forth by the US Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), or any other regulatory agency.


 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Must be willing to travel. work weekends and work away from home when required .
  • Report to the assigned job site in uniform and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Adapt to changing work requirements and assignments


 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

  • 4 Year degree from a post-secondary school and/or 2-5 years relevant experience.

Work Requirements

  • Ability to communicate sufficiently to be able to convey and exchange ideas, and to give and receive detailed verbal instructions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Individual must possess excellent computer skills and be proficient with Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
