Take advantage of our tuition assistance and scholarship programs to grow both personally and professionally.# RN FNE Coordinator Position Summary# The FNE Coordinator will work#both in the office: building the program, assisting in education for staff and collaborating with others to improve the care of patients requiring the services of a forensic nurse, and will be on the unit performing forensic nurse examinations for patients in the department that require their expertise. This role also demonstrates clinical expertise of the Forensic Nursing field. This includes networking with law enforcement, other coordinators throughout the state, various court systems as needed, and Child Advocacy Centers. This position will provide retrospective case review and communicate findings to FNE and departmental leadership in cases requiring corrective action as a result of nursing practice deficiencies. The Registered Nurse is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. Acts as a patient advocate. Provides support, information and direct care. Utilizes equipment and technology skillfully and is technically competent in nursing procedures. Educates patients and families on significant self care issues. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required.# RN FNE Coordinator Position Requirements## Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or Delaware. BSN or Master#s Degree Preferred Certified by the board as a Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) Adult and Pediatric examiner. Current certification as a SANE-A (sexual Assault Nurse Examiner-Adult) and SANE-P (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner-Pediatric) SANE-P through the International Association of Forensic Nurses preferred. Two years# experience as a Registered Nurse required. Previous supervisory experience, teaching and leadership experience is preferred. Experience as an FNE for greater than one year desired. RN FNE Coordinator Schedule# Scheduling is flexible, primarily day shift, some weekends and evenings may occur depending on department need RN FNE Coordinator Benefits# At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.# Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance plans, life insurance, paid time off plans, retirement plans, tuition assistance, employee assistance, and access to on-site childcare and a credit union.#
