Volt | Electrical/Network Engineer (Layer 1) | Spokane, WA SUMMARY VOLT’s client is looking for an Electrical/Network Engineer (Layer 1) Description: Responsible for designing and overseeing construction of copper and fiber optic telecommunication cabling, telecommunication spaces, cabling pathways, telecommunication grounding and critical power systems that support network equipment and the enterprise data center. Developing detailed construction packages in accordance to our client's design standards, NFPA 70: NEC, TIA/EIA standards, and BICSI TDMM.” Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and/or RCDD and equivalent experience.
2-4 years commercial plant engineering experience.
Able to effectively communicate with cross functional teams throughout a project’s life-cycle.
Understanding of copper and fiber plant design best practices per TIA/EIA standards.
Experience with creating clear and detailed construction drawings.
Knowledge of safe installation and grounding practices in accordance with NFPA 70: NEC.
Experience designing low voltage DC power systems for telecommunication equipment
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Engineer in Training (EIT)
Familiarity with BICSI Telecommunication Distribution Methods Manual (TDMM)
Experience with AutoCAD preferred
Experience designing battery-based power systems for telecommunications equipment preferred.
