Our client is currently seeking a Sales Engineer

This job will have the following responsibilities: 
  • To support sales with technical support, responding to customer needs and inquiries, prepare layout drawings, customer presentations and proposals, prepare estimates for electrical and technical components of container modifications, assist engineering and internal departments and interface directly with customers as needed. 
  • Job Summary: This position reports to the VP of Business Development or the VP of Innovative Sales Solutions. 
  • The ideal candidate should possess an Engineering Degree, be able to work in a self-directed manner, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to interact directly with customers and be a team player. 
  • Complete understanding of the NEC code book. Knowledge of battery and energy storage systems, transformers, generators, motor starters, UPS equipment, DC Voltages, alarm wiring and emergency stop circuits. 
  • Ability to interpret and execute customer specifications and drawings and provide cost estimates. 
    Duties
  • Accident prevention – correct and/or report any unsafe working conditions before they result in an accident
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements, cost reductions and profitability improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical assistance and resolution for customer needs and inquires
  • Prepare 3D container layout drawings, including electrical and other component parts
  • Create electrical schematics, including component part specifications, sourcing and pricing
  • Oversee electrical or engineering problems and solutions before, during, and after construction
  • Manage projects from estimate through completion, including component part management
  • Interact directly with customers on conference calls and site visits
  • Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results
  • Assist and collaborate with electrical engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems
  • Interface with customers to analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems
  • Write commissioning procedures for electrical installations
  • Prepare project cost and work-time estimates
  • May require lifting objects of up to 50lbs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Skills/Qualifications:
    Experience: 
  • 5-10 years minimum field experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree ideally in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related experience.
  • Must be fully experienced in all types of electrical installations and NEC code book trained.
