Compensation: $20.00 to $27.00 per hour

You could be the new Logistics Coordinator for this client of OfficeTeam in the Chemicals Manufacturing industry! As the Logistics Clerk, you will be working with clients coordinating shipments. This position is also responsible for performing a heavy amount of data entry and utilizing customer service skills. This Logistics Clerk will be responsible for the processing of customer orders, including coordination with vendors and arranging shipments. Submit an application now and learn more about this role! This long-term temporary employment opportunity is based in the Decatur, Alabama area. This position will require nights and weekends on rotating 12 hour shifts. What you get to do every day - Comply with guidelines for approving carriers - Observe, follow, and encourage dispatch progress of orders on time and to meet delivery requirements - Perform various administrative duties - Endorse freight bills and process bills of lading - Interact and correlate with inventory and sales management; warehouse; logistics for service changes - Follow-up with carriers, as necessary

Job Requirements

- 2+ years' experience with shipping/logistics - This job requires experience in purchasing, inventory control, transportation and warehousing functions - Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset - Microsoft Excel experience - Comprehensive knowledge of logistics - SAP experience - Logistics distribution experience - Excellent data entry skills - Ability to operate basic office equipment, complete general office work and route incoming materials
