Well-established, growing company in Pulaski, TN seeking an Automation Engineer. Excellent benefits with growth opportunity! The facility is located South of Nashville, TN and North of Huntsville, AL. Experience with automotive parts manufacturing is a plus.


Responsible for creation and troubleshooting of PLC programs, robot programs and controls wiring projects, as defined by the MFE Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development and troubleshooting of PLC programs (primarily Siemens) for various types of equipment
  • Development and troubleshooting of robot programs (primarily Comau robots)
  • Design, installation and troubleshooting of control wiring for existing equipment and possible equipment to be designed and built in house
  • Daily production support, for advanced equipment downtime issues
  • Kaizen activities
  • Process improvements, to reduce cycle time and increase output
  • Equipment design input
  • ECR/PCR Management support
  • Provide support in project coordination activities
  • Provide support and training to employees, as required
  • All those activities generated as a result of changes, requirements and/or improvement in the process of the applicable area
  • Availability to work any shift

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or similar technical degree (5 years of experience working as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer in in the field setting can be substituted for the degree)
  • Minimum of 2 years of directly relevant working experience,1 year minimum in the area
  • Quality and environmental systems
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Communication techniques
  • Training in the work area
  • Knowledge of computer packages (MS OFFICE)
