RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of a Threat & Vulnerability Security Team Lead in San Diego, California (CA). Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for the planning and management of an enterprise cybersecurity strategy with a long-term focus
  • Advises senior management on identifying and minimizing new threats, and vulnerabilities
  • Collaborates with key business and IT leaders to develop and ensure business continuance standards, address information security risks and action plans to minimize risks
  • Responsible for cybersecurity capital program to institute risk mitigation programs and projects
  • Ensures compliance with policies, laws, and regulations in ensuring a secure environment, including cybersecurity of critical utility infrastructure
  • Responsible for the leadership of the enterprise wide cybersecurity team, including enterprise wide cyber security monitoring, incident response, forensics, threat intelligence, and other critical cyber security functions
The Director will be responsible for communicating strategy, risk mitigation action plans, company security posture, and relevant metrics to company executives, and other internal and external parties such as:
  • The board of directors
  • Executive leadership team
  • Internal audit
  • Large and small company group forums
  • Insurance providers and/or brokers
  • Regulators
  • Legislators
  • Federal & local law enforcement
  • Community leaders
  • Testify in regulatory and legislative hearings as required or in support of business needs
  • Lead and/or participate in companywide, communitywide, or industry wide emergency planning and incident response drills, exercise, and actual events
  • Participate in or lead other company business initiatives as directed
  • Responsible for the business resumption plans and resiliency of cybersecurity tools and services

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, Criminal Justice or related discipline required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH or CISM preferred
  • 10-15 years of information technology management experience
  • Experience in a Fortune 500 company with an emphasis on cybersecurity a plus
  • Requires financial acumen in security investments, risk analysis and budgets
  • Demonstrated track record of interacting and communicating highly technical information with top levels of management, developing and executing information security strategic plans
  • Broad knowledge of various information systems and technologies, including applications, networks, network topologies, communications protocols, software, hardware
  • Successful track record driving enterprise wide cyber transformation programs with appreciation for the many facets involved, including communication of a clear vision to technology systems integration, employee education, leadership development
  • Qualified candidates must be presently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; This company does not sponsor or transfer H1-visa individuals
