Performs a variety of clerical and technical duties. Responsibilities include coordinating the processing of mortgage loans from application to closing. The applicant will conduct verification of employment and deposits, as required. Orders and reviews all documentation, i.e., credit report, appraisal, survey, title commitment, etc. and immediately notifies the underwriter of irregularities relative to standard underwriting guidelines. Will be expected to follow up to ensure the Bank obtains original fire and flood insurance policies.
The applicant should be service-oriented, professional, friendly, and enjoy our fast-paced atmosphere. May be required to work weekend and/or extended hours. Regular, reliable attendance is crucial to our success.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Complete knowledge of secondary market investor product, programs and underwriting requirements
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise correspondence
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong computer knowledge
- Three or more years of prior mortgage loan processing experience, preferably in a retail banking environment
- Proficiency in Encompass loan origination system
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
