Job Description

We’re looking for a Marketing Analyst to identify and pursue new opportunities for growth across our business. This role is highly analytical and offers you the opportunity to find and turn large sets of market and competitive data into actionable insights that impact Veolia’s strategic direction and enhance the services we provide to our clients.

Part of Veolia’s North American Marketing and Communications team, this position will report to the Director of Marketing for Business Intelligence and is a full-time position based in Boston.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
•Gather and analyze market, competitive and customer data to identify business trends and opportunities across energy, water and waste business units
•Develop business cases and write market, competitor and customer research reports. Present findings to senior sales and leadership teams
•Be passionate about data visualization and infographics as means to communicate in concise and compelling ways
•Receive, prioritize and act on business intelligence requests from internal teams
•Use Salesforce to identify and implement strategies to rank leads and accelerate sales cycles
•Partner with the Marketing and Communications team to develop sales tools that clearly articulate value propositions and sustainable competitive advantages
•Support market segmentation and go-to-market strategy development
•Support global marketing initiatives

Job Requirements

Education/Experience Background
•Bachelor’s degree in business, management, accounting, economics, statistics, information science, engineering or similar
•Advance degree in relevant field a plus
•3 years of marketing experience in B2B or B2C environment with emphasis in business intelligence
•Experience in related industry or market preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Ability Characteristics
•Strong business sense and a deep understanding of numbers
•Experience finding and analyzing large and disparate sets of data using software tools like Excel, Tableau, Qlik Sense or others
•Ability to translate data analysis into actionable insights, especially by using data visualization as a means of storytelling
•Resourceful and self-starting with an ability to seek out and solve nebulous problems across a broad set of industries and service offerings
•A collaborative and creative team player with drive for innovation and continuous improvement of systems, processes, and tools
•Strong organizational, project management and time management skills
•A good communicator that values and nurtures strong relationships with colleagues and clients
