POSITION SUMMARY


The Industrial Sales Representative - Direct Market is responsible for managing all aspects of sales of Royal Purple and Bel-Ray Industrial Lubricant Products within the Industrial Direct Market (Houston, TX) with limited distributor interface. The ideal candidate will prospect for new sales within the direct market territory while maintaining and growing the existing business.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Face to face meetings with existing customers for maintaining and growing the business
  • Prospecting, setting appointments, conducting sales calls and presentations for gaining new business
  • Write effective call reports
  • Conduct effective product demonstrations/presentations
  • Deliver on established yearly sales growth targets
  • Ongoing development of product and application knowledge and demonstration skills
  • Position requires extensive travel (40% or more) and is on call for troubleshooting at customer locations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of industrial sales or expertise with industrial rotating equipment
  • Valid Driver’s License

NECESSARY ATTRIBUTES

  • Ability to effectively influence others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic and creative thinking skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals both inside and outside the company
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

POSITION PREFERENCES

  • Technical experience with industrial lubricants and applications
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the sales, business and market development field
