Title: Sr. Security Engineer #3915
Location: Hilliard, OH 43026 - Remote position for now. Candidate must be able to work onsite as soon as covid restrictions are lifted
Pay: $109.99/hr - DOE 
Length: Until 12/31/2021 + possible extension and / or hire

Summary:
The Sr. Security Engineer is responsible for system analysis, design, development and testing for their assigned technical product(s) or application(s), within the context of an agile/DevOps delivery model. In their role, they drive change and innovation from a technical perspective and advocate new technologies within formal and informal networks. In addition, they will extend their development responsibilities to take on Operations topics to achieve a true DevOps culture. The incumbent is a fully-fledged member of an Agile feature team and may support or even lead agile ceremonies and refine business and technical requirements. Security Engineering
• Leads the creation of detail-level security requirements and analyzes business requirements in collaboration with business analysts, product leads, and other members of the DevOps teams
• Creates new security processes and tools that adhere to technical guidelines and business expectations in an Agile process
• Mentors mid-level security engineers and performs peer reviews in furtherance of secure engineering and design-pattern implementation
• Implements robust test cases to ensure technical solutions meet expected outcomes and business objectives
• Creates and maintains automated deployment pipelines to maintain quality control and deployment agility 2. Operational Excellence
• Prepares and documents standard operating procedures and protocols as well as required system documentation
• Supports operational excellence goals through strong operations knowledge
• Resolves escalated security issues as part of tier-3 DevOps role to ensure the highest availability of critical systems
• Plans and execute upgrades of existing applications, tools, and features
• Creates solutions and solves problems using a cloud-native toolchain, to ensure world-class uptime and business agility 3. Agility & Customer Centricity
• Plans work-effort as part of Agile projects, supporting or even leading ceremonies
• Advocates for customer-centric systems that are well-designed with a view toward excellent customer experience, and clear business requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned by management. Defines response processes to top secret IT Security events
• Develops technology products and integrates new technology projects into the technical landscape
• Suggests improvements to systems and processes that improve efficiency and competitive posture of the company
• Consulted in outlining the technology/process vision in area of responsibility
• Evaluates vendor, service provider, and open-source code quality to ensure best-of-breed vendor and technology solutions. Creates project/technical collateral for internal business partners and external service providers daily
• Documents solutions for business partners daily
• Advises project managers, disciplinary managers, and product owners on technical solutions and business processes daily
• Guides resources in global product domains in engineering best-practices
• Conducts discussions of top secret nature with internal business colleagues locally / centrally on a daily basis

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in the management of information technology application development, maintenance and support. 5+ Years of demonstrated success in Information Technology, with at least
• 3+ Years in a mid-level engineering role, and
• 2+ Years specializing in IT Security Engineering
• 1+ Years working in Agile projects. 3+ years relevant experience with Information Technology Design or Engineering 3+ years relevant experience in IT Security Management or relevant Cyber Security experience 1+ years Splunk experience 1+ years Data Loss Prevention (DLP) experience Must have experience with: • Knowledge of financial systems • Defining security requirements
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems
• Splunk Enterprise Security module
• System hardening standards and guidelines
• Analyzing with a risk-based perspective
• Technical writing and documentation
• Coordination and steering of resources
• Experience evaluating vendor solutions and providing recommendations
Preferences: • Splunk User Behavior Analytics (UEBA) experience
• 1 - 3 years IT Security and design experience
• 1 - 3 years coordination & technical leadership
• 1 - 3 years Financial Services Industry
