We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our thriving financial team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who is passionate about finance and has a proven track record in account management, risk management, insurance underwriting, business development, and communication skills. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial accounts and developing new business from existing clients. This position involves maintaining client relationships and understanding their needs to provide solutions and deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain a portfolio of commercial lines accounts, ensuring all client needs and requirements are met.
2. Lead the process of renewing and selling insurance contracts, negotiating terms with clients and insurance carriers.
3. Develop and implement strategies for retaining clients, identifying opportunities for growth within the existing client base.
4. Evaluate clients' risks and insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
5. Collaborate with underwriters to prepare and present detailed proposals and cost estimates.
6. Develop strong relationships with clients, ensuring high client satisfaction and retention.
7. Keep abreast of industry trends, market activities, and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
8. Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
9. Provide regular reports to management on sales results, client feedback, and market trends.
10. Participate in continuing education programs in both insurance and sales.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry with a focus on commercial lines.
2. Proven work experience as an Account Manager or relevant role demonstrating sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
3. Proficiency in risk assessment, insurance underwriting, and account management.
4. Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, contracts, and underwriting guidelines.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
6. Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
7. Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
8. A demonstrated ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
9. Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office.
10. A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
11. Insurance industry certifications (CIC, CRM, CPCU) are a plus.
