Job Title: Junior Security Engineer
Work Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: Long-term contract with option to hire
Education/Experience Required: Knowledge of TCP/IP networking: DNS, DHCP, VPN and security protocols


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical meetings with customers and partners to highlight our products and solutions. Perform design work for partners and resellers;
  • Perform and review vulnerability scans without impacting network operations;
  • Perform network security threat/impact assessments and prepare assessment reports;
  • Assist with client Cybersecurity program to include monitoring and tracking of notifications and provide technical assistance as required;
  • Monitor and assist with host-based security across the multiple clientsto include: anti-malware, host-based intrusion protection system, data loss prevention, and rogue system detection;
  • Generate vulnerability assessment reports for customers and escalate for further review;
  • Support the review and update of corporate and client policies, procedures, processes, manuals, and other documentation;
  • Hold on-going education sessions with our partners and clients.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking: DNS, DHCP and security protocols
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a technical environment
  • Ability to demonstrate good customer diplomacy skills and problem ownership
  • Must be willing to travel
Desired Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
  • 1-2 Experience in ISP Support, security monitoring or related networking position
  • Experience with security analysis and solutions in a WAN/LAN environment
  • Experience performing security compliance scans across a complex networks
  • Experience configuring Cisco or Meraki equipment
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated network operations and support team
Security Certifications a big plus - CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP
