**_Role Overview:_**

Reporting to the SVP, Global Sales Engineering, with a close dotted line relationship with the SVP, Public Sector Sales, the Vice President of Public Sector Sales Engineering will strategically and tactically leads the SE organization in direct alignment with Trellix's Go-To-Market strategy, providing technical excellence, solution outcomes and enablement to our Customers and Channel partners across the region.

The SE leader will also be accountable for field readiness programs, operational excellence, and metrics and KPI management and reporting. Lastly and of utmost importance is the roles continuous leadership efforts aligned to attracting, developing, motivating, and transforming the Public Sector SE teams to become best in class when engaging with customers and partners.

**About the Role:**

+ With the Public Sector team being an integral part of the overall Global SE Organization, you will be responsible for providing strategy and structure in alignment with the global org, while providing leadership, direction and inspiration to the Public Sector SE Organization, including leading by example and driving a culture of technical excellence, personal leadership, ownership and initiative.

+ As a technically active leader, you'll apply an inspirational and disciplined style in leading the organization to foster a positive, open, innovative and high performing culture.

+ Maintain strong, active communication with Sales and SE leadership regarding performance forecasts and results against metrics, along with recommended courses of action.

+ Be the motivational and inspirational voice, communicating openly and often, particularly during times of high growth and transformation.

+ During your Interactions with leaders from Engineering, Marketing and Services providing market/customer/Partner insights, challenges and product roadmap suggestions.

+ Leverage SE and Sales tools, resources and financial data to manage SE productivity and operational excellence and effectiveness. Lead your business in a controlled and focused manner using SFDC to track and report outcomes.

+ In conjunction with the Regional SE Directors, collaborate with leadership from Partners to identify, support and close opportunities, while always ensuring Partners are enabled and educated on Trellix solutions.

+ Reinforce and act as an ambassador for Trellix's GTM model and ensure all stakeholders understand the need for 'one voice' to clients.

+ With a lead-from-the-front style, you will directly engage with our most prominent customers, influencing the most complex engagements, and delivering customer presentations. All with the focus of positioning Trellix's portfolio and roadmap from an overarching architecture perspective.

**About You:**

+ You are an inspirational, disciplined, technically active sales engineering leader with a track record of establishing vertical market or theatre-wide strategies as well as establishing tactical performance management KPI's within the high technology sector, combined with an open, honest and collaborative people leadership style. A measurable background in cybersecurity will be ideal.

+ Your overall career experiences must include minimum of 6+ years' experience leading regional or vertical market enterprise-class SaaS software Sales Engineering teams within a direct-sales model. A history of building and/or evolving your teams into top performers is paramount - talent assessment, talent acquisition, performance management and succession planning.

+ In applying a hands-on style, you must have a history of leading geographically dispersed SE teams of at least 25 people.

+ Ability for planned overnight travel approximately 40%.

+ A track-record in consultative solution selling of SaaS-focused, enterprise-grade integrated solutions and/or platforms, with a focus on customer success and achieving mutually positive business outcomes. Security software experience is highly preferred, but not mandatory.

+ Must be technically active and credible to communicate the value and differentiators of our platform and solutions with customers, partners and across your SE organization.

+ Demonstrated success of operating in a highly matrixed organization, with active collaboration with peers and business leaders from different functions / geo's

+ Ability, interest and history of engaging with and influencing the most senior internal and external decision makers, including working closely with product management and product development, bringing market and customer feedback and desires into focus. A background engaging with and presenting to public audiences will add to your success at Trellix.

This position is paid, in part, on a commission basis. The Base Pay Range is $280k to $320k. The On Target Earnings (OTE) Range (base pay plus on target commission) is $400k - $440k. Actual base pay within the Base Pay Range and actual OTE within the OTE Range will depend on varying circumstances, including the work location, individual qualifications, company budget and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.
