**The Role at a Glance:**

We're excited to add a Senior Associate Actuary to the Corporate Finance Appointed Actuary Team.

**What you'll be doing:**

+ Compile certain annual statement exhibits, such as Exhibit 5 and the New York Supplement, which involves working with actuarial and accounting teams for all lines of business and understanding the full book of business.

+ Analyze and project covariance and redundancy targets for quarterly capital allocation to the various lines of business.

+ Monitor and support reporting of company RBC ratios internally and externally.

+ Participate in rating agency reviews and inquiries.

+ New Product Reviews: Participate in product reviews for all lines of business and identify key risks and impacts of new products and features.

+ Support Appointed Actuary in Corporate Finance initiatives and projects.

+ Captive Model Maintenance: Update models and deliver results for each of LNC's captive insurance companies, which are used for liquidity management, ALM, and answering ad hoc inquiries from state insurance departments.

+ Model Validation: Perform dynamic validation and analyze actual versus modeled assumptions.

+ Process Improvement: Improve efficiency of technological tools used for asset adequacy testing, statutory reporting, and required capital calculations (Dataiku).

+ Participate in capital related ACLI workgroups and discussions.

**What we're looking for:**

+ 5-7+ years of experience in actuarial science that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position

+ Project management skills and ability to meet firm deadlines

+ Moderate technical skills, familiarity with programs such as Tableau & Dataiku

+ Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

+ FSA

+ Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or another rigorous major
