Derived Salary: $44K - $55K/Year

Sycamore Financial Planning is seeking a Client Services Specialist to join our financial planning firm at our Durham office. This will be a part-time, hourly position. The Client Services Specialist’s role is to create a fantastic client experience while working as an integral part of the Sycamore team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Client Experience Responsibilities:

  1. Promptly greet visitors in a welcoming manner.
  2. Schedule and confirm client meetings.
  3. Regularly correspond with clients and allied professionals via both e-mail and cover letters as necessary.
  4. Maintain the firm’s client relationship management system.
  5. Gather, organize, and confirm clients’ personal financial information in preparation for our team of financial planners’ analysis.
  6. Maintain client information life-cycle including scanning, electronic filing, and shredding.
  7. Assist clients with completing necessary forms for establishing accounts.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  1. Manage administrative tasks for our team of financial planners including new client packet preparation and presentation assembly.
  2. Support the firm’s billing and bookkeeping functions.
  3. Ensure our offices are fully provisioned with the necessary supplies.
  4. You may be required to assist with additional projects as needed on an ongoing or ad-hoc basis.

WHAT WE SEEK IN A CANDIDATE

  1. Completion of a two-year degree at an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
  2. Highest level of ethical responsibility and respect for client privacy.
  3. Extreme accuracy and attention to detail for record keeping and working with client information.
  4. Commitment to working as an integral member of the Sycamore team with a daily positive attitude.
  5. Solid written and verbal communication skills coupled with good listening skills.
  6. Superior organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  7. Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  8. Friendly, confident, sincere approach to interpersonal relationships.
  9. Quick learning skills for multiple technology and financial tools.
  10. Typing speed of 50+ words per minute.
