Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic works in conjunction with various departments, such as Production support and Manufacturing Engineering, to ensure that production machines or equipment are properly maintained or repaired when necessary.

Essential Functions and Competencies

•Effective problem solving skills and the ability to identify viable solutions under moderate supervision
•Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to take on responsibilities as required
•Demonstrate high attention to detail
•Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
•Ability to work overtime when needed
•Ability to work with diverse groups
•Proficient with hand-held mechanical and power tools and test equipment
•Demonstrate quality workmanship

Qualifications / Education / Experience

•Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
•Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating manuals or drawings
•Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checks
•Rebuild manufacturing equipment, as required
•May perform equipment modifications, as directed by manufacturing engineers
•Follow all safety protocol in performing work functions.
•May perform facility repairs, as needed.
•All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.

•3+ years of mechanical or electrical experience working with industrial machinery
•Solid understanding of OSHA standards in regards to performing work duties
•Hydraulics and pneumatics experience required, machining experience (a plus)
•Solid knowledge of manufacturing machinery

•2 year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by management
