Human Resources Professional - New Haven, CT
Description:
The Human Resources Business Administrator directs, plans, and coordinates administrative services of the organization.  The role involves accounts payable, payroll review, facilities planning, operations, and human resources responsibilities.

Duties:
  • Manage receptionist, schedule internal coverage for receptionist absences
  • Maintain employee personnel/HR files
  • Administer employment processes: benefits, onboarding/orientation, leave benefits, employee verifications and management of payroll
  • Maintain EEO compliance reports
  • Manage worker's compensation and insurance claims
  • Prepare and submit monthly operational reports
  • Distribute monthly financial reports
  • Oversee the accounts payable operations
  • Frequently meet with senior leadership
  • Maintain private information in a discreet fashion
  • Effective employee communication skills
  • Organize employee events
  • Manage employee/vendor/trade contracts
  • Buy/stock supplies
  • Manage receptionist, schedule internal coverage for receptionist absences
  • Responds to union information requests
  • Participate in collective bargaining agreement meetings
  • Mediate and negotiate complaints with employee representatives as necessary

Requirements and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, plus three to five years of Human Resources experience
  • Rapport building skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Planning and organizing capability
