Campaign Marketing Manager, Digital Demand

Are you passionate about developing impactful and enticing consumer-facing communications that drive demand? Do you know how to work with advertising agencies and/or production companies to develop compelling creative communications to drive results? We are looking for an experienced campaign manager to support the management of external agencies and internal teams to develop digital advertising campaigns that deliver results.

As a member of the Integrated Marketing team responsible for Consumer Demand Generation campaigns, you will work across multiple internal teams as well as external agencies to support the development and execution of digital advertising assets including online video, digital banners, rich media, custom, social, and more to drive demand for consumer products.

You must be able to develop strong creative, have excellent agency management skills, work well with internal teams and multiple stakeholders, build excellent relationships and partnerships, be willing to learn multiple products and businesses, be a highly organized multi-tasker, and be process-oriented while delivering on time and on budget.


Storytelling/Marketing Communications:

  • Understands storytelling and existing frameworks in order to create messaging that resonates with internal or external stakeholders.

  • Manages communications across a broad set of stakeholders to ensure the right stakeholders approve, review and are informed about the campaigns. Ensure the optimal customer journey is attained through managing key stakeholders and partners across channels and platforms.

Development of Creative Campaigns:

  • Supports development of campaign concepts and helps manage the creative agency to develop creative assets that are on strategy and will meet/exceed campaign goals. Attends creative shoots if required.

  • Supports the development and deployment of campaign assets within and/or across channels, including localization of assets across markets and geographies.

  • Supports the launch, maintenance, and optimization of campaigns.

  • Attends and where needed may lead v-team meetings to ensure strategic alignment of work through and across channels and various key stakeholders.

  • Attends weekly agency status meetings to ensure timely campaign execution.

  • Provides channel-related support as needed.

Project/Campaign Management:

  • Manages day-to-day campaign execution within specified channels.

  • Manages meetings (e.g., Mission Control) with internal and/or external partners to examine assets and ensure all assets are on track to maximize demand generation dollars.

  • Supports management of expectations with internal partners and ensures all assets are prepared for launch. Oversees handoffs and go-live for developed assets.

  • May lead channel-specific and/or custom asset development.

  • Supports Legal and Corporate Affairs (LCA) process for developed creative content.

  • Leads the development of campaign toolkits as needed. Shares and makes information available on Brand Central.

  • Supports leadership to manage budgets and maintenance to monthly/quarterly forecasts.

  • Oversees localization of assets across markets and languages.

  • Supports executional brand approvals to ensure that developed assets are consistent with brand and campaign. May partner with Microsoft Studios (internal production group) to develop extensions for assets.

Campaign Effectiveness/Results:

  • Participates in partnership with the analytics team to support ongoing weekly monitoring and decision making regarding campaign performance and asset utilization.

  • Supports the research team in building a visual collage of assets to understand how assets perform in market.

  • Develops a research timeline in tandem with the campaign timeline.

  • Supports partnership with the media and research teams to build measurement and learning plans and/or test and learn plans for campaigns.

  • Leverages customer and market data to inform and institute optimizations.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborates in virtual team meetings to support translation of product group goals and business priorities into a business and/or creative brief to be shared with agency partners. Supports communication across teams.

  • May drive or attend weekly virtual team meetings with key stakeholders, including research and media teams, to ensure resources are aligned.

  • Works with media team and agency to identify any custom assets to be built with external media partners as needed.


  • Acts as an ambassador for Microsoft in client/customer-facing meetings.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 1+ year(s) campaign management, digital marketing, and/or product, project, or site management experience, or related work experience

    • OR equivalent experience

    Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 3+ year(s) campaign management, digital marketing, and/or product, project, or site management experience, or related work experience

    • OR equivalent experience

    • 3+ years experience in media, marketing, or advertising on the client or agency side

    • OR equivalent experience

    • Experience developing digital and/or demand generation campaigns strongly preferred

    • Digital expert with prior experience working within a large marketing organization or agency

    • Must be excellent at multi-tasking and open to working on multiple campaigns simultaneously

    • Excellent communications skills and the proven ability to influence others

    • Proven ability to think creatively while maintaining great attention to detail

    • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with a diverse range of partners

    • Strong project management and organizational skills
