Kforce is looking for a Node.js Engineer to work in their client in the IP Video space. The IP Video teams create REST services that provide TV-over-the-internet. This is video that customers can watch on their Roku, Apple TV, Android, iOS, etc. A new team has been created to deliver faster, more reliable APIs. This team is looking for a small, but highly capable group of Node.js Engineers.
The services that this team creates will be in a microservice architecture, running in Kubernetes on AWS. The services will handle millions of REST calls per day. The service work will be primarily greenfield (created from the ground-up). The project management style is Agile, with elements of both Kanban and Scrum.
- Own the design and development of significant components or modules and contribute to reviews of other components within the overall architecture
- Ensure that all code adheres to defined standards and best practices for accessibility, security, standard coding practices, performance and quality
- Model, design, and develop REST services and APIs
- Write automated unit tests using Test Driven Development practices
The most important technical requirement for this position is to be an expert in Node.js, with at least 1 year of experience writing production-level Node. In additional to Node.js, the ideal candidate will have experience with the following technologies:
