Rexnord Aerospace supplies high performance spherical and cylindrical bearings, mechanical seals, gears and electrical components to commercial air transport markets. Our products are engineered to meet stringent requirements and are specified in engine systems, flight control systems, landing gear systems and airframe structures. Our global customer base includes major engine and airframe OEMs, tier suppliers and aircraft operators.
Rexnord Industries, LLC, a leading supplier in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Maintenance Associate to report directly to the Manufacturing Manager and indirectly to the Shift Production Managers. The Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining all machinery, equipment, and facilities at Rexnord Downers Grove location. At all times this position is required to follow the proper safety procedures as well as strictly adhere to all documented procedures around the processing of parts. This Position is also responsible for contributing to the improvement of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and 5S in all production areas.
- Promote safety awareness and comply with all safety rules
- Strictly adhere to all documented work procedures
Work productively and ensure timely flow of orders through the department
Demonstrate continued improvement in the areas of quality and productivity
- Actively contribute to the improvement of 5S in the department
Actively participate in cross training program to improve and broaden skill set
Capabilities and Success Factors
This position requires the applicant to be a US Person with a US permanent residence. A US Person is a US Citizen or Green card holder.
2-4 years of experience preferred
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.
Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble.
Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary. Cleans and lubricates parts.
Orders replacement parts. Inspects completed repairs.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Requisitions new parts and equipment.
Inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment.
May apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate or repair parts of metal or other weld able materials, as specified by work orders, blueprints, sketches or charts.
Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
Works under minimal supervision.
May assist in training of new employees.
