Are you an independently licensed mental health professional with background in insurance/managed care industry? Are you a clinician who has worked in a mental health or chemical dependency role in direct service or utilization review? We're looking for a clinically curious, passionate, dedicated professional to fill a telephonic - based care advocacy role. Apply today! 



You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Atlanta, St Louis, Albany, Chicago, Houston areas preferred.                

Primary Responsibilities:     

  • Focus on  psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment for members    


  • Complete assessments to determine appropriate levels of care     


  • Obtain information from members on outpatient requests for treatment     


  • Determine if additional clinical treatment sessions are needed     


  • Administer benefits and review treatment plans     


  • Coordinate benefits and transitions between various areas of care     


  • Identify ways to add value to treatment plans and consulting with facility staff or outpatient care providers on those ideas

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, or Licensed Ph.D., or an RN with 2 or more years of experience in behavioral health 


  • Licenses must be independent, active, and unrestricted


  • 2+ years experience in a related mental health environment


  • Proficient Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)


  • Crisis management, substance abuse and mental health background

  • Home office set up with access to high speed internet services


  • Ability to talk on phone and navigate through computer screens simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Facility - based experience (inpatient, residential, partial, iop)


  • Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse


  • Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for members


  • A background working with various age groups


  • Prior call center experience

If the hired individual resides in Florida (office based or telecommuting) this position requires the AHCA Level II background check (fingerprinting) by the State of Florida for all clinicians that have direct face to face contact with members OR employees who will have access to confidential patient data and will require renewal every five years.
