Job Description


Our client, a growing San Diego healthcare company, is looking to hire a Patient Services / Intake Representative. The Patient Services Representative is responsible for collecting patient information and initiating the patient lifecycle.


Responsibilities:

  • Pull faxes in a timely manner: separate batches and enter medical documentation into the Brightree computer system
  • Explain diagnosis to patients and provide general information on company services and products
  • Schedule and maintain patient appointments
  • Ensure same-day patient authorizations are correct and completed
  • Check benefits for patients and explain financial information as necessary
  • Process patient payments and co-pays
  • Responsible for keeping all patient charts and information orderly, confidential, current and HIPAA compliant at all times


Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to patient care
  • Friendly, helpful and caring nature
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in healthcare, intake, medical front office, customer service or reception
  • Experience in the DME field is strongly preferred
