Field Support Veterinarian – Washington State #5536
We are seeking a Field Support Veterinarian to join an exceptional group. This is a family-owned network of premier veterinary practices in the state of Washington. This position will work under the guidance of the Head of Medicine to develop relationships with Managing and Associate DVMS, as well as support staff for individual hospitals.
This role spends 70% of the time working in hospitals and requires DVM shifts in multiple locations each month. They will work within existing standards of care for the practices in areas of anesthesia, pain management, chronic disease, dentistry, preventative care, and end of life care. They will assist the medical leadership in establishing standards of care and hospital protocols. The Field Support DVM will also assist with recruitment of staff, client growth, and client support. They will work to build relationships with local DVM/LVT/CVT sources, develop a marketing strategy and plan tailored to the local community, focus on team training and growth, help coach and support new hospital leaders, and assist in driving the hospital culture.
Qualifications
- DVM required
- Significant and recent experience in a private practice setting in a leadership role, such as lead doctor, medical director, or practice owner
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with team members that have enhanced the quality and profitability of service while maintaining a positive rapport
- Demonstrated ability to hire, train, and lead a group of veterinary professionals based on an establishing or developing standard of care
