This position is an exciting and new opportunity to work with Medtronic's Patient Monitoring, Respiratory Interventions and/or Medtronic Care Management System businesses. Currently a part of Medtronic, these businesses are being transitioned either into a new stand-alone company (currently referred to as NewCo) or will be merged into the business of another company. While you will start your employment with Medtronic, upon establishment of NewCo or upon the transition of the business unit to another company, in approximately 12-15 months your employment will transfer to one of these entities and you will no longer be employed by Medtronic.
In this exciting role as **Regional VA Account Manager** , you will have the responsibility for driving growth of the home monitoring technology as part of the Patient Monitoring portfolio. The Patient Monitoring business is one of the fastest growing businesses at Medtronic and helps patients all over the globe. Medtronic Care Management Services (MCMS) is the home monitoring portfolio within Patient Management.
This role reports to the head of US Government sales for MCMS - Home Monitoring and will cover the West territory (WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, UT, CO, AK, NM, NV, CA, AZ, HI, AK). The role is remote and be covered from any mainland state if within 30 miles of a major airport.
**A Day in the Life**
You will be responsible for driving to sales and market share targets in your territory while developing strong relationship with the key medical center leaders and care coordinators. Each day you will be interacting with Veteran Affairs (VA) staff; care coordinators, nurses and physicians to promote the home telehealth program and Medtronic technology. Specifically, you will be accountable to;
+ Promote and sell Medtronic Home Monitoring products and services within your assigned geographic area to meet and exceed sales targets through the National VA contract
+ Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including physicians and relevant parties in hospitals and/or government.
+ Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs, and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Home Monitoring products and/or services.
+ Regularly meets with customers to assess future market needs and identify new opinion leaders.
+ Provide accurate sales forecasts and execute tactical sales plans
+ Conduct and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors' activities.
+ Develop deep knowledge of the Home Teleheath Product to train new care coordinators and highlight key benefits for all stakeholders.
+ Implement market development plans/strategies and changes as needed including training of Care Coordinators and staff and promotion of new initiatives at VA vendor fairs, and other opportunities.
+ Works with internal and/or external stakeholders such as Technical Sales Representatives, Clinical Specialists, Marketing, and key healthcare specialists to discuss product features and benefits and ensure alignment.
+ Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelors degree required
+ Minimum of 5 years of medical device or software sales experience
**Nice to Have**
+ Experience selling into the C-Suite, VA and or other government entities in the telehealth, digital health market
+ Organized and detail-oriented individual with proven success in account management and growth in current accounts
+ Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer and internal relationships
+ Candidates must be assertive and high-energy looking for an opportunity to maximize earning potential. A competitive, hardworking drive and results oriented individual will be rewarded.
+ Individual needs to live within the current geography and within 30 miles of a major airport
+ Ability to travel up to 80%, approximately 3-5 over nights per week
+ Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
