Social Media Specialist
The Social Media Specialist is primarily responsible for building and engaging company fans through social media channels. Such channels will likely include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, YouTube, Reddit, 4 chan, forums, and whatever pops up next. The Social Media Specialist should constantly have their finger on the pulse of our community, wherever they might be found online.
The position will require ownership of our marketing efforts on social media, including posting organic content, building relationships with influencers, and working with our Paid Advertising Specialist to maximize the impact of platform advertisements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using a variety of social media platforms, an intimate understanding of the tastes and values of our audience, the organizational skills to develop a content calendar, and the responsiveness to take advantage of time sensitive opportunities.
Build our social media following in both size and engagement
Increase sales conversions from our social media efforts
Manage and execute an organic content posting calendar
Extend our reach through building relationships with key influencers
Identify new channels where there is opportunity to seize mindshare
Interact with our audience to better understand their motivations
Post content that is consistent with the company values
Collaborate with our Video Specialist, Developer, Email Specialist, and Paid Advertising Specialist to execute a successful marketing plan.
Measure and analyze digital content performance and continually strive to optimize results.
Develop and maintain expert level familiarity with our core products
Experience managing corporate social media accounts
Familiarity with the tastes and values of the tactical/firearms community
Experience building a social media following
Experience working with influencers to execute mutually beneficial campaigns
Desire to continually research, test, learn, and develop.
Ability to glean insights from analytics tools (Google Analytics, CrazyEgg, etc.).and adapt techniques
Ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.
Passion for digital media; desire to keep abreast of new technologies and techniques.
Ability to research, understand, and empathize with target audience, and craft content appealing to them.
Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and verbally.
Flexibility to change with the department as it grows.
Willingness to travel on occasion (
Bachelor's Degree (Marketing a plus) or relevant work experience.
Ability to work in Phoenix, AZ
Minimum of 2,080 hours per year
