Monitor system reports to ensure maximum reimbursement from clients and third party payers. Provide billing support to county office staff. Duties are performed on site during normal business hours. May be required to help cover in assigned county office(s).
This position is part time.
- Answer telephone and refer phone calls appropriately.
- Provide financial counseling to clients when requested.
- Process Hoosier Healthwise applications as needed.
- Monitor payment plans and pre-collection reports.
- Verify client intake information.
- Process refunds to clients and third party payers.
- Monitor system reports to identify problem accounts and credit balances for resolution.
- Correct and submit rejected claims and follow up with third party payers on pending claims.
High School diploma preferably with a concentration in office procedures.
Minimum of one (1) year in an office capacity preferred; computer experience, including spreadsheet and word processing; billing experience in a healthcare setting desired; excellent verbal, written and math skills desired.
