Accounting Supervisor

The Opportunity: Accounting Supervisor
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating shared services accounting functions within, but not limited to, Fixed Assets, Inter-Company, Payroll and General accounting.
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

The Challenge:
Participate in and monitor accounting cycle close processes to ensure deadlines and deliverables are achieved
Review and approve general journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and proper support is provided in adherence to stated internal controls
Monitor tools and systems and coordinate administration
Identify opportunities for improvement and coordinate implementation of changes
Drive effforts to ensure process documentation is available and current
Investigate and resolve issues as needed, in conjunction with the management team
Ensure compliance with GAAP, Corporate policies and procedures, Sarbanes-Oxley programs and other applicable regulations
Participate in the annual audit process
Participate in the interview process, assist in onboarding new hires, and training personnel
Assist with special projects as needed
Your Expertise:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
5-6 years experience
Strong Excel skills, Power BI/Power Query is a plus
Proficiency with ERPs (SAP, Syteline, Baan, Oracle) and consolidation tools
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure and multi task
Ability to prioritize workload and effectively manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
