The Supply Chain department is a high performance team that prides itself as a leader in the industry. The Supply Chain Contract Analyst we are seeking will be a dynamic individual who can manage multiple tasks, details, and timelines while presenting exceptional written and customer service skills with a professional presence. This team member must be self-motivated, a critical thinker, strategist, organized, flexible, goal oriented, results driven and a true team player. We require individuals who have a talent for navigating the changing currents of today’s healthcare market to support the contracting needs of our operations. This Analyst will also be responsible for representing our Supply Chain team in support of Careline Committees in Physician, Clinician, and Vendor front facing engagements. To be successful, the Analyst will possess the flexibility to support numerous projects and additional department initiatives as required. This contracting professional will have knowledge of the many contracting intricacies for these modalities as well as familiarity with GPO purchasing models.
The Contract Analyst should have strong working knowledge of competitive bidding processes such as; Request for Information(RFI), Request for Quote(s) (RFQ), and Request for Proposal(s) (RFP). The Analyst is also responsible for the contractual development, negotiations, and facilitation of the approval processes associated with the successful implementation of the opportunities pursued. It is our expectation that this Analyst will have knowledge of benchmarking tools and processes as well as the individual ability to seek out and secure opportunities that align with our fiscal and quality initiatives. Additional responsibilities include the maintenance of the contract management program by ensuring competitive pricing of the goods, equipment and services Scripps Health acquires/utilizes. The Analyst is responsible for coordinating the supply and services contracting opportunities within their domain of Value Analysis. Although many of our goals may be cost management and savings focused, we seek an individual who will prioritize quality and service so that our actions will continue to improve our Patient’s care and experience. This is a full-time exempt position, Monday – Friday, 8a-5p availability required. Schedule flexibility requested for committee meeting attendance. Qualifications Required Qualifications:
- Four years or more of progressively responsible purchasing, product sourcing and contracting experience in a progressive and complex environment of a multi-hospital setting, or a large hospital.
- Must have a thorough understanding of purchasing methods and procedures, techniques of specification and contract writing, purchasing law, purchasing ethics and healthcare regulations.
- Knowledge and skilled use of excel and ERP (i.e.: Lawson/Infor) systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related health care field.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Health Care Administration or related field.
