Novant Health is seeking a Vice President of Operations NHUVA to collaborate with our Chief Executive Officer and members of the executive management team, develops and executes plans for sustainability and growth for NHUVA based on strategic plan to include developing a system operating model, and developing NHUVA structural changes that will result in integration and system-ness.
Responsible for developing service level agreements (SLA’s) for contracted services as well as Novant Health to include Food & Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, patient transportation, Laboratory Services, Biomedical Engineering, Real Estate, Plant Operations/Construction, Public Safety, Emergency Management, Pharmacy, Information Technology, and assist with others as needed or directed. Manage SLA’s and hold parents and vendors accountable for outcomes.
Provide direct oversight to NHUVA system services, including Plant Ops, Construction, Biomed, Real Estate, Space Planning, Master Facility Planning, Interior Design, Public Safety and Security, Emergency Management.
Lead effort to develop an integrated approach to Information Technology for NHUVA and manage IT for the system.
Evaluate and set standards for imaging equipment, protocols, platform and capital needs across the NHUVA system.
Collaborate with organizational leaders and manage interdependencies across entities and divisions to design and provide a system approach to services resulting in comprehensive integration across NHUVA.
Participate in the strategy development and identify impact of strategies and plans on upstream and downstream areas in order to plan and minimize negative impact as well as amplify positive impact.
Collaborate with accreditation and regulatory, compliance, risk and other associated system teams to assure the facility’s compliance with standards.
Actively work on actions and initiatives to achieve long range planning goals and to achieve operational targets.
Manage financial and human resources to provide the most appropriate and efficient utilization for the workload. Actively seek revenue opportunities. Facilitate opportunities to reduce inefficiency/waste within the organization. Achieve performance metrics.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare/Business Administration or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Six to eight progressive supervisory/management experience preferably in healthcare setting.
Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; possess knowledge of current leadership, management, and business concepts, and the ability to participate in developing and implementing organizational strategies to address opportunities to improve organizational performance.; possess the educational and experiential requirements of leadership; possess personal / professional / educational attributes as defined by federal, state, local law and regulation.
